Walmart to stop selling some ammo

General description, no handgun ammo or assault rifle ammo, .223 / 5.56. They will not restock once current inventory is sold.

Some question about rimfire, since it works in handguns. Or about handgun ammo that also works in rifles.

I can't believe they're not liberal PC enough to just ship it all back to the distributor, instead of making money on what's left. Maybe they'll mark it all down to cost, giving future "mass shooters" a bargain? At any rate, all their ammo competitors will like it.

Anybody need a Kleenex?.....

Does ANYONE seriously believe that someone who's going to all the trouble of planning a mass shooting won't be able to come up with a few boxes of ammo? I haven't bought any ammo at the Walmart here, nor have I bought any from a brick and mortar store here. But if I wanted to, I could go at least 5 places within 3 miles of Walmart. Another feel-good move that does nothing. I'll never set foot in Walmart again. No reason to anyway. Anything they have that I want I can buy at at Target, Home Depot, the auto parts store, Best Buy, or the LGS.

What about 30-30? Isn't a mare's leg lever action a pistol? What about .308? All those evil AR10's out there. What about .410? Probably more revolver shooters are buying it than shotgun shooters. They'll be completely out of the ammo (and gun) business within 2 years. Just my prediction.

I rarely shop at Walmart, and now I will not shop at Walmart. The list of "don't give money to" places keeps growing.

For 7 months of the year I don't go near them and for 5 months I really can't avoid them although we do travel 20 miles further to go to a coop we are members of as much as possible but it's already 30 miles to Wally World.

Never bought anything guns there anyway. We haven't been in a Walmart in over a decade and even then we didn't buy any of their junk.

My LGS has every day prices that match other retail and online sale prices, and it has an indoor range.

Unlike the retailers (Walmart, Dick's) I can pull my own ammo from the shelf. It's not locked away in a case.

I honestly don't care what Walmart sells. I don't know how they make any profit selling gun stuff anyway. Seems like a waste of space.

I bought a NIB Remington 870 Supermag when WalMart was stopping gun sales in that store for $199. At that time Remington was running a $50 rebate on them so I wound up with a brand new 870 for $149.

I want to know what "short rifle" ammo is? Over the years I have purchased bulk ammo there but rarely. I'll stick with Bi-Mart or lgs for small purchases and internet for larger buys.

I won't buy squat from them. They already lost business from me (or might have) I needed new glasses and I knew WW was supposed to be pretty cheap, but I wouldn't go there. Ordered them online for about 1/4 of what any store sells them for. It remain to be seen how that will go.

Walmart is a bunch of phony liberal wanna be's. They cater to a group of illegal people and garbage people. I hate the place. Dick's sporting goods are no better, Idiots!

The President of Dicks is "exploring the idea of running for President", as a Democrat of course. Does it make sense now?
