Sportsman's Warehouse today, first time in a couple of weeks. Worse than ever. No rimfire at all except two boxes of CCI 22 Short. Handgun ammo basically gone, just three boxes of 50AE and maybe a dozen 44 mag. Long gun ammo was just a few scattered boxes in between very wide gaps. Gun racks are half empty. It seems people are buying anything that shoots. Clerk says even BB guns are selling out. I figure places that sell steel utility buildings should be busy. People couldn't have any room left in the house or garage...... What puzzles the clerk is that people are buying ammo and guns, but very little cleaning gear ? |

Cleaning gear...what?? You need to clean these things???? Can I just put 'em in the dishwasher??? Some of the folks I've seen in the gun stores taking home a firearm over the last four months are just plain scary. The only consolation is that this insecurity will die down someday and these folks will put the firearm away and never touch it again. |

The consolation is these people will learn and join the ranks of gun owners thwarting the democrats plans to ban them all.

I hope you are correct. That would be an ideal outcome.

When people see thugs in the streets beating up elderly, harassing people not to mention burning and looting then they realize that self defense is not as the media characterizes it, white supremacist. They then realize what the 2nd Amendment truly means.

Some poll says that most people want the election winner to fill the SCOTUS seat. I think that's what Trump is trying to do !

There have been 29 vacancies in election years and the president has put forth 29 nominees: Quote:

Very true on the BB guns and air guns. People were digging old air guns out of the closet during the early lockdown phase of the pandemic to have something to shoot at home. It's been a record year in the air gun industry. Fortunately, pellets and air guns are still available on line, but availability and selection are limited. Nowhere near as bad as in the regular gun and ammo market though. We've been shooting our air guns all summer, rather than burning up ammo for the powder guns. Still have a good supply of rimfire ammo and some centerfire, but replacing what we shoot is a real problem, right now.

Most of their 9mm and .380 is $ 2 per round. Some of the off brands are a little less, but not much. They don't show any .22 available at all. I didn't check other calibers. Cheaper than dirt ? Dirt must be getting really expensive. I know the supposed law of supply and demand, but this is outright gouging. Have the ammo companies raised their wholesale prices 400% ? I don't buy from CheaperThanDirt, but they sent me this ad thinking I must be crazy. I reckon the gun ranges aren't very busy right now. I've shot about 10 rounds last week and stopped to think how much money it would cost to replace the ammo. |

I checked some other sites, and their handgun calibers ran around 75-80 cents per round, but most was out of stock and taking back orders. Last handgun ammo I bought was 44 cent .38, and 36 cent .32. |
