dueling pistol sold

A man from Fla seen the pics I post here of my dueling pistols . He purchased them today for his Museum in Fla . They will be on display for the world to see and not in a box in my vault where only a few people will see . I'm very glad to see they are getting a good home .. The paste below is the Museum

I mail them out today ....... If it would have been a private sale I think I would have mail his money orders back . Just knowing they will be look at everyday in a Museum helps . They are too pretty to hide in a safe and never seen .

They look like the ones you have but were converted to percussion. Gold inlay on top and side of barrel

Single trigger smooth bore but converted from flint to percussion. Look just like the ones used in the Burr duel but no longer flintlook. The case is from Paris France, Rue De Roule19

The guns don't look like they were fired. I have another matched pair of silver inlaid French flintlock pistols that show signs of use. The only number is a gold inlaid stamp on the side of the barrel. Maybe from the French Arquebusier bourdon who sold the cased pair

My nephew in law is french and I will see what he can find out

The conversion cut the value down a lot . They don't have a big collector value and now fall into nice looking shooters . The Burr duel cost $2995 in 1981 and now you can buy them for under $1500 in today market unfired in new condition . Hope this help you . I'm a buyer at the right price and NO I didn't low ball you on the value of your guns to buy them .

To me muzzle loaders single shot pistols or rifle are works of art . I go to a gun show and spend hours looking at them .

I would like to see pic of your guns and a see the conversion on your Wogdon pistols .

I'd like to see these too. I imagine the workmanship is admirable. If you don't have a hosting site like Photobucket you can e-mail photos to me and I will put them up and give you the code to them.

The basic Photobucket is free and I found it so useful in so many ways I upgraded to the premium version. The free one would probably suit your needs. It makes an easy way to share photos and videos on forum s and in e-mail without using massive bandwidth as you are just sending a link to the hosting site. That is why we can post many pictures here as it does not use the forums bandwidth, the links directly connect the viewer to photobucket to see the picture.
