Well I certainly have heard of Bill Carver and I wish I could've met him. And he was with out a doubt a very talented pistol shot still holding records today. But there are others to not be forgotten that were at one time or another at the top. Charlie Haffner Sr., and Mike Luma.

And lets not forget the TRUE High Record Score holder for the 1000 point aggregate Logan Brownfield with a 954-22X out of 1000.

Bill Carver did hold it with a 954-35X until they changed the Revolver aggregate in 1978. They froze the high records for the revolver aggregate because we don't shoot that agg anymore BUT they failed to freeze the 1000 pointer over all which they should have since it's built up using the revolver aggregate too (which has changed). So since 1978 using the new revolver agg Logan Brownfield should but is not currently recognized. No disrespect to Carver - would have liked to have met him, and again - seriously talented.

I like to collect record targets and such. Mark Tompkins another good friend has the 50 ys
with his 98 I think 3X. Have to pull it out and look again. Don forget my old friend Marvin's
Spring 2005 of 578. Marvin and I go way back. I feel so lucky to know people like Mike and
can sit around with them and talk shooting . Yes, Garvey too. I only met Charles Haftner Sr
once to talk to him. The people I know who I can call by first name and call them my friend
I still can't believe it sometimes. These were all my heros years ago. I feel so lucky to have
known some of the best shooters in the world. See you next June.
