Remington trigger

Here is the true story's . All this BS about a bad 700 remy trigger , like I said it is BS . If adjusted correctly and not modified there is no safer trigger .

I played with my bench only gun for over a half hour with a 2 oz I built , WILL NOT go off like the news reported .

Re: Remington trigger

I think all the hype about unsafe Remington triggers comes from people improperly tampering with their triggers.

Re: Remington trigger

I haven't heard about unsafe Remington triggers. I've owned a couple of 700's, and the triggers were fine. At least they never went bang when I didn't want them too.

I totally agree that there is always some self proclaimed expert who stands at the constant ready to bad mouth an otherwise wonderful product/firearm, but in the case of the Remington 700 Series, I must unfortunately agree that a problem does exist. I have had a new, right from the box, never modified 30-06 do it. Sitting in a LeadSled, chambered & safety in the on position. Every time I moved the safety into the fire position, with fingers no where near the trigger, the rifle would fire. The rifle went back and I have sworn off the 700 Series ever since.
