It is hard to rack by hand. But it is such a good pistol that I overlook it.
The manual recommends chambering a round using the release. And it is extremely hard to do with an empty magazine. It tells you that it is much easier with a round in the magazine.

While some folks report reliability issues with short barrel 1911s, my Micro has been rock solid over the past 5+ years. Although all of my SD exercises these days focus on point shooting, every now and then I'll use the sights for a few rounds to remind myself just how accurate this little fella is (excellent trigger as well)

My CM40 is light , small and out shoots 642 SW , but the Glock 27 and 23C are still my favorite and most accurate of all my CCW gun with a lot of ammo and fire power .

I won a lot of combat matches shooting my Detonic using the point and shoot . I do the
Cowboy action shooting and 90% is point and shoot . There is no time to aim if you want to win .

Tx ... I had the opportunity to shoot 50 rounds through a friend's Combat Master about 10 years ago (it was a Mark V version IIRC). I was surprised how accurate it was and just how comfortable it was to shoot. He told me then that he would never sell it. While I haven't seen him in a number of years, my bet is that he still has it.

Just a recently acquired .357 SP101 with 2 1/4 barrel. Ruger traded me even for a defective LCR, since it was my third LCR return.
