While I maintain that the actual carry gun should not be fired much (after initial testing, zeroing, etc) I do think that one should practice (a lot) with a very similar pistol. This keeps you sharp, while keeping the wear and fouling off of the carry gun. I know that's a hard concept for some to follow, but give it a try! ![]() The more pertinent issue here, tho, is what levels of speed and accuracy should you have, and what frequency and amount of training do you need to attain/maintain that level? An old master might need very little such work. A great many people never achieve the needed levels of speed, so their "maintenance" is of course then inadquate. They need to IMPROVE, not just maintain their current level. In view of the fact that the mere sight of your (ready) gun often suffices, and that MISSES suffice a great deal of the time, too, it should be apparent that speed of ccw draw is paramount. Also, nicely, mere dryfire, Airssoft, or the Laserlyte device practice suffice to make you very fast (since no hitting is involved). No trips to the range are required. Just disciplined effort (which is why so few work at it much). They want to "have fun" plinking, basically, and that's ALL. |

swon, I am a CPhT, & I am telling you with sincerity, get back on your meds! Your Psychiatrist can adjust them, if you are honest & tell them how they make you feel. I honestly feel you may be suffering from an uncommon psychiatric condition called Delusional Disorder. Apart from their delusions, people with delusional disorder may continue to socialize and function in a normal manner and their behavior does not generally seem odd or bizarre, However, the preoccupation with delusional ideas can be disruptive to their overall lives. Good luck!
