search there for the ANNUAL CRIME SURVEY, and the fbi's UNIFORM CRIME REPORT. You'll see that most attacks are not made with guns. Ie, woe betide you if you fire from a greater distance than 10 ft. ![]() You'll also see that most GUN fights occur at 10 ft and less. How much time do you think that you'll have, at sub 10 ft? How many times do you expect (each) enemy to miss you, at such distances, hmm? Read the Armed Citizen NRA column. Note how often just showing a (ready) gun suffices, and how often misses (and poor hits and feeble loads) suffice. Read Jim Cirillo's book about gunfighting. Of the 280 armed robbers that his Stakeout Unit confronted, only 40 odd made the cops shoot them. The other 80+% surrendered without shots being fired. The odds for you will be much greater, if you get your gun noticed early enough, and if you are smart enogh to leave them a means of exit. |

if you have to hit somebody with a bullet, you just "spent" over $50,000, folks. And it might cost you 1/2 million $ to stay out of prison and not be sued for every dollar you ever make (or your spouse ever makes) Just ask George Zimmerman about that!.
