We renewed our CCW today, many changes!

The wife & I went to our county seat to renew our CCW license today.
3 years went by quickly. We went in the county police HQ & signed up, after a 10 min. wait, we got called up to fill out the basic boring form & turned them in & she said wait 5 min. & I will have your new cards. We, in the past, had to go to the DMV to get a card similar to our drivers lisence. They now have a specific CCW card & it last 5 years! All for 20 minutes & $40 each.

Then we go across the street to my car & I have a $15 ticket on my car for parking in a compact car spot for cars under 60 inches high! Mine is 68"

I've never heard of a compact ticket.

Do they have spaces for different colored cars? So wouldn't length be more important than height. Just seems stupid.

I think, after the wife & I discussed it, that they don't want big trucks & vehicles blocking the sight line to the local shops. They are regular size spots, and yes, it still seems stupid to us also!

Good to see the improvement in your CCW process. North Carolina permits are good for Five years. Renewal is supposed to be relatively easy. Pay the fee and sign a new form.
The ticket stinks. More liberal green BS.

Isn't Nixon still the Governor?
The one that choked during the Ferguson riots, by holding back the National Guard, said a vigorous prosecution must now be pursued in the shooting death of black 18 year old Michael Brown by white police Officer Darren Wilson, vetoed income tax cuts and the Right to Work bill.

In NH it's all local. Take the application/renewal (same form) with the three references and my check for $10 to the local PD and they do a background, make the calls and it is ready by law in 2 weeks. Good for 4 years. There are no statewide lists of resident CCL holders and it is shall issue. Have had my license every since we moved back up here in 1988. Picked up a Utah permit last year and together I get 36 states if memory serves me correctly. It gives me TX as well so the places I spend time NH & TX are covered. Most other places I travel to are covered as well. When I travel to TX once I get to PA then I am clear the rest of the way except for 10 miles in MD.

In Wisconsin, it's though the state as far as renewal or at least I think so. Maybe I better check on that.

Yes that's him. He's doing a great job. Darren Wilson was not prosecuted, everyone let the system work & it did.

Every year the CCW laws are tweeked to make them better for us & I am happy.

Actually, you have to fill out the form on the computer in the lobby, then wait a few minutes while they make up a form for you to sign.

Seems to me like the perfect solution to a non-existent problem . Yet another city council member trying to find something to be remembered for
