Active shooter response poster
Just recently saw this poster at work:
The "Run" and "Hide" parts aren't so bad. What gets me is the "Fight" part. It shouldn't even be on there, even though it does say "As a last resort". Says to -
"Act aggressively", showing stick man with a club. (That club has a range the length of your arm. What's the range of bad guy's gun?)
"Incapacitate the shooter" with stick man knocking gun out of shooter's hand. (Good luck getting that close.).
"Throw objects", with stick man hitting shooter with a chair. (Great idea, make him even madder. At you.)
"Yell and call for help". (Yes sir, let the shooter know exactly where you are.)
This poster could get some stick men killed.
Never bring a stupid poster to a gun fight.

I have never know a legal gun owner to advocate shooting anyone.
The problem arises from the killer trash that is in the movies and on TV.
Maybe it is time to put the blame where it belongs.
I've always told my shooting partner to be careful because once the bullet leaves the barrel there is no getting it back.
