It did when I posted it. It's not in stock. They were taking orders for what is arriving on Dec. 23. Guess they sold them all.

Would not be surprised at all if the new GP has sold out, already. The gun was announced last spring, I believe, and has had eager Ruger GP fans lined up to buy, since.

If I get another 22lr handgun, this is the honey I would get. I have a Buckmark Hunter that is very similar. That's the only thing keeping me from getting this. https://shop.whittakerguns.com/product/322 |

I put one of these barrels on my Buckmark, only it's the discontinued non-threaded one. All it took to change was an Allen wrench and pull a few screws. 10 minutes and done. http://www.rimfiresports.com/merchan...egory_Code=BRN I also threw a HiViz sight on the front. I just ordered one of these Ruger GP-100 .22's from Davidson's this weekend. They have been showing "Out Of Stock" for weeks on this gun, but I checked Sunday morning and they got 8 of them in, so I immediately ordered one. It should arrive at my local dealer tomorrow if it ships from Prescott. I'm happy about the price. I got it out the door for just $ 665.37. Considering the demand for this gun, and the fact the MSRP is $ 829.00, I feel that price was very good. They sold out the remaining 7 in just hours after I purchased mine. I'm really excited about getting this revolver. I doubt there is a more ruggedly built .22 revolver on the market today. And I love the fact it's a 10 shot double action. I love my Ruger Stainless Single Six, but I spend 3 times the amount of time loading and unloading, as I do shooting. It will be nice to be able to eject all 10 empties at once. Most every video I've seen of this revolver being shot on You Tube, the ejection of all 10 cases is effortless. Sometimes with my S&W Model 63, depending on ammo, ejection can be a bit sticky. I also ordered a Beretta Model 87 Target .22 along with it. I've been wanting one of those for a long time as well. I'm finding as I get older, I am shooting more rimfire. So I'm sure both of these new pistols should get a good workout. The Beretta Model 87 is a bit rare, and you don't see too many of them, as they are quite costly. But it's a beautifully crafted pistol with great target sights, and ergonomics similar to the Model 92-FS and M-9. I'll report back when I get them. I'm not exactly the most patient person when it comes to waiting for new firearms to arrive. But these 2 will definitely be worth waiting for. |

This outfit is already making 10 shot speedloaders for the GP-100 .22. I'm going to order a couple after I get the gun. They are dedicated to the GP-100 .22, as speedloaders for the S&W Model 617 10 shot will not work in this new GP-100. Now I've got to check on a good quality holster for it as well. I know Galco makes one. I think any holster for the GP-100 in .357 Magnum will fit, as the exterior dimensions are very close, if not the same. The 5-1/2" barrel shouldn't matter in a 6" holster. https://ds10speed.wordpress.com/ |

I meant if Davidson's were going to ship it from their Prescott warehouse, (which is basically down the road from the Ruger factory), or from their warehouse in North Carolina. Glendale, (where I live), is only about 100 miles from Prescott. So I would get the gun quicker if it was shipped from there.

Congrats. Have heard good reports, personally, on the GP100 22 LR from folks who've bought them, locally. I've been tempted, but we already have a 10 shot 617 that is just superb in every respect, so haven't been able to talk myself into the Ruger ... yet. ![]() |

Being a gunsmith these 10 shot revolvers the star is a problem for me . When they get a little wear on the star there can be a problem with the pawl indexing correctly because there is not a lot of travel or movement . The star is a weak link in my opinion . Personally I prefer the 5 or 7 shot revolvers because the cylinder stop lockup is between the cylinder for added safety and not in the chamber area . ![]() Last edited by tx gun runner; 10-18-2016 at 09:32 AM. |
