Anybody seen the Kimber revolver yet?

I could have sworn I posted here about it when I first knew they were coming, but Search didn't show anything.

Last I knew, they decided to change the backstrap shape, and that moved release from May to June. I've been checking around, and no one local has gotten it yet.

Looks to be a great snubnose, but I doubt it will change my mind about my LCR. Not at their likely price, and not with their recent history of QC issues..I would like to handle one just to satisfy my curiosity.

I don't care too much for the looks of them. I reckon I'm more into traditional revolvers.

Here is your original thread though: https://gunnerforum.com/gun-talk/1540...-revolver.html

Thanks. I searched "Kimber" and all it shows is two threads that don't even mention Kimber.

It looks okay, they just flattened things to make it thinner. And will they have a .22LR companion for practice? I went with my LCRs because I could get a "pair" like that, plus I just like Ruger. I got both on sale, plus the .357 had a rebate that brought it down to $500. The .22 was $450.The street price on the Kimber will likely be at least $750.

At that price I'd look at the S&W M&P 340, lighter for carry but still in 357 Mag.

Being a Kimber fan, I'll say I will have to stick to my Ruger R 101!

I'd at least like to look at one, if and when one of them ever shows up in our area. Doubt I'll buy, though. Have converted over to mostly single action revolvers, though we still keep few DAs around.

I love the look . But you can have a custom gun built to your spec from S&W at that price and own a S&W which is a proven gun .
