Ok, there are some Badger Boot Grips in the near future for my SP 101 3in. 357Mag. Just for fun I wanted to ask what wood do you folks think looks best on a stainless SP. And if anyone has some pictures of an SP with some wood boots please post them up. ![]() |

I don't have any, but I think either would look good. ![]() |

From the pics I've seen, I would select the Walnut.....

My vote is for Walnut, I don’t have pictures of an SP101 but have one of a SBHH with Walnut Burl in the Gun Gallery.

I think the darker of the two would look best on the stainless.... |

It matters greatly on the color and grain. I prefer well figured dark rosewood. The walnut are usually too plain but a nice dark color if done right. Either would look good on the SP. Just your personal preference.

Assuming that you are looking for wood grips for the Remington R51 which was manufactured in 2014 you aren’t likely to receive much information from the folks who were posting in this thread. Only one of them is currently active in the forum. However I did a simple google search for Remington R51 wood grips and there are several images. That will get you what you are looking for. However welcome to the forum and I hope you will stick around and get to know us. |

George Bush was president, the SP101 keeps on trucking and Rosewood still looks the best.

Rosewood makes the prettiest handgun grips, though some think stag or ivory is great. Rosewood would be a pretty rifle stock, but I understand it's very rare to get a piece large enough without a serious flaw someplace. So walnut is a very nice 2nd best and more practical.
