What do you think I should use to clean this s/s gun ???? Its the dull type finish , but it has a 10 year coat of yellowish tarnish on it. Its going to g/broker to fund a 338 ruger 77.. Its a Winchester model 70 stainless classic in 338. ![]() |

Maybe some scotch brite. It looks like it's going to be a lot of work. I'd just tell them they're getting it like that. |

...try some pure ammonia and fine steel wool...brush on the ammonia and let set 5 min then steel wool it and wipe it with a wet rag.... |

I think Flitz makes a cleaner polish just for stainless, could test it on the bottom of the barrel

Most of my work or match guns are stainless because of lower mantenance . At one time I had too many guns , did a ton of reloading and built 90% of my match guns and didn't have alot of time for mantenance on guns I didn't shoot .

I don't get that bored. I won't clean a 'clean' gun. |
