Re: Rust problems...

Any idea what's causing them to rust? The tritium isotope is in a sealed glass vial, so you're not gonna hurt them with anything you spray on there, unless it'll disolve glass. I'd try coating the whole gun with some automotive paste wax. I wax all of mine, makes 'em all shiny and waterproof.

Re: Rust problems...

I wipe mine down with Remington gun wipes. They're silicone cloths. Hasndling the gun a lot in the humidity will leave lots of body oils on them and cause rust. Lots of guys wipe theirs down nightly to prevent it. I don't do mine that often.

...I don't wax my car but I'll buy some to protect my gun...just the screws and sights...the rest is stainless....
...kim, I sweat till I'm soaking wet and carry IWB...crawlin' in attics and under houses...can't carry anything blued for that reason...my P97 would even rust some on the slide...the P90 just the grip screw and sights...

dawg are you fighting critters in them attics? .sweat is hard on any finish even SS will rust.I would try some johnsons paste wax.a can will last a lifetime works great on rifles stocks also.I would use it on my rifles stocks before hunting season.it seals the wood really good.
