I got a couple of Mora knives Thursday. I'd always heard they were simple and cheap with great blades. Swedish made. They have a lot of choices as to handle, blade, sheath, etc. so it took a while to decide. I settled on two Basic 546. Stainless Sandvik 12C27 blade, $ 12 apiece including shipping. I am impressed with them. ![]() The reason this is in gun gear is that I looked for aftermarket sheaths, and found a place that makes Kydex for the 546, other knives, handguns, etc.. Looks like good work and prices, but up to 8 weeks delivery. http://www.grizzly-outdoors.com/ No one including Mora sells factory sheaths, and I've seen several knives outlast their sheath. I like the Mora design, but considering the Kydex. |

Where did you order the knives from?

I got mine from a vendor named eCop!, just because he is 90 minutes down the road from me. I ordered them late Tuesday, and still got them Thursday. Moras are confusing to decide on. They have carbon and stainless blades of different lengths, widths, and thicknesses; about six different handles, most are overmolded. The "classic" models have wood handles. Most of the sheaths are hard plastic, but a few aren't. Here's a website that helped me sort them out: http://www.ramblinjim.com/articles/m...-and-compared/ Last edited by bearcatter; 01-20-2018 at 01:59 PM. |

Definitely the knife of choice for the Bush-craft people! You might find sheath options on their sites, Personally I prefer leather even though Kydex is more resilient. I have a Ka-Bar Becker BK2 and an ESEE-4, both with Kydex sheaths and don't like either sheath but the leather sheaths I have been priced as much as the knife and they aren't cheap! The Anza Knife website has a election of reasonably priced leather sheaths that work for other aplications as well. Last edited by 44s Rock; 01-21-2018 at 08:32 AM. |
