Volquartsen Scorpion question

Hi all.
I'm an Aussie shooter, and as such we don't have access to anywhere near the goodies US based shooters do.
I'm breakin in a Volquartsen Scorpion and have to say that i love the pistol so far.
Better pistol than i am shooter at this stage.
The only thing i would like to change on it is the slide release catch.
A tab rather than a button is easier to operate in my humble opinion.
Is such a thing available after market?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts

Welcome! To be honest, I had never heard of them but TGR or our NCG mave have some info on them.

Here's a link to the Scorpion page, for those that aren't familiar.

Basically Volquartsen's 100% non-Ruger version of a Mark pistol.

I don't know if you'd find an after-market mod for a basically after-market gun. And I'd think a tab would be a totally different operation than a button.

I don't recall any aftermarket parts for Volquartsen. I have a Volquartsen .22 Mag rifle which is a tack driver.

My Scorpion is up to over 30,000 rounds and still good as new. I'm guessing yours is the 1911 angle frame? (AKA 22/45 style) I have the Scorpion with the Target style frame and it's got a tab slide stop like the one on this: https://volquartsen.com/inventory_configurations/1382 I'm thinking they've always used that style on the Target frame and the button style on the 1911 style frame. I believe it would be a completely different piece and one wouldn't fit the other. I've looked around the internet a bit and don't find anything. My suggestion would be to go to the source and email Volquartsen. I've had occasion to ask them about parts twice and they've been extremely helpful. Tell them what style frame yours has, and the serial number wouldn't hurt. Even if they can't come up with anything, they'll probably now more about it than anyone else you can ask. They might take a couple of days to respond, but pretty sure they will.

Yes, you're right, mine is the 1911 style, though i like the look of yours for the slide release Yes, i'm probably a similar amount of rounds in and it just goes like a swiss watch. Love it to bits Thanks for your reply

Thanks :)

Thanks guys for your responses and feedback. I looks like they do offer the lever style of release, just on another pistol.... Doh!
