Mini 14

This is the first one I've ever owned. I like the wood and blue better, but figured this would hold up better in the long run. With the way things are going in the world right now, I might be having to crawl around in the mud a bit.

It was $672 OTD. I wanted the new version. Much better imo.

Re: Mini 14

Nice un Shawn! I do like mine:

(It no longer wears the muzzle break.)

Like I have said before, I have owned 5 of them over the years, and this one is better than all the previous ones put together.

Nice, I prefer the stainless but I'm happy with with the Blue and wood, maybe some day one like yours will find it's way to my safe! Good score!

If I remember right, Cabelas. It has the Ruger logo on it. But, I took off the sling swivels that come with the rifle, drilled out the hole so I could put in the QD type of swivels. This will tell you how to do it:

Re: Mini 14

Very nice Shawn! Ironically enough when I had put my order in for my Mini-30, I thought the shop was getting one with the synthetic stock but it turned out to be one with a wooden stock.

Looking to hear how she shoots providing NH didn't just get dumped on with 2 feet of snow.

Re: Mini 14

You will find your old AR15 was more accurate then a stock mini 14 , but I like mini 10x better .

Re: Mini 14

Rick, we only got 16" of snow.

Gunrunner, for what I need it for, it'll be fine. It has the new barrel and I ordered an Accu-Strut for it. That is supposed to improve groups by as much as 33% with the new barrels, and up to 75% with the old barrels. Plus they look damn cool.

Re: Mini 14

...makes sense...should help with hot barrel moving some, too...at that price it's worth a try...I'd try the 2011 model...

Re: Mini 14

Well the new gas blacks are supposed to be much better too. I've never owned an old one, so I guess I won't know for sure.
