Latest Colt 1911 CMDR and Henry .357

The latest two to my collection.

The Colt Combat Commander and The Henry .357 Magnum.

I'm digging both but the Henry was a gift and is special to me.

Ambi Safety Levers.
This pistol shoots NICE!!!

A Buddy of mine gave me some grips he had made for me for Christmas.
I think I'm gonna put them on tonight.
They have Gunny Chevrons engraved into them.
See the crossed Rifles?

I sure hope you got that Buddy something real nice for Christmas. Grips like that, and the story behind them are, in the words of Eddie, "the gift that keeps giving."

(poor Christmas Vacation shout-out there.)

Very nice guns & grips. A case could be made for those 2 firearms to be all you need.

Thanks for posting & sharing.

Another vote for those grips - very nice. Adds a nice personal touch.

When you get the chance, would love to hear how that Henry shoots. The 357 mag in a rifle, like the 44 mag in a rifle, is a whole 'nuther cartridge than when shot out of a revolver.

I sent him a card

I wasn't expecting a gift.
I'll get him something nice.
He knows that I appreciate it.

We do stuff for each other every so often.

I like the .357 because Most of my revolvers are .357 "for in the woods", except for one .44 Redhawk.

I have the Ruger 77/357 bolt action rifle which is ok but nothing like this Henry.

NCG, it shoots smooth and hardly any recoil.
I shot some .38s out of it and it was like shooting a .22.

It's awesome! I Love it.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
I have many firearms but; these have quickly become two of my favorites

Hey Brother!
They were a gift from OpsMan.

He gave them to me when we met at the last "Guns and Geezers" get together and shoot over in Havelock at Sure Shot Range.

There were some really beautiful old rifles there.
I was shooting M1903s and M1 Garands and Mausers and...and...and.....

Something to be said for a 357 in a lever gun, for sure. My 44 mag Marlin is smooth, but a pussycat to shoot, it ain't. Get's your attention, fast.

I have got to be more active on the Carolina group. I wasn't able to make it to the last get together out my way. Hoping to make it to one this new year.
Who Knows might even bump into you sometime.

Whoa!!

I get lost, find my way back and what do I see???
That ole Gunny has acquired a couple new firearms and accessories!!
Very nice looking guns and those grips from OPSMAN are da bomb!

I bet that Colt shoots pretty well...it will look good sporting those grips.

And, a Henry as a gift???
You must rate pretty special in someone's books.
Very nice indeed.

You'll have to get up towards ENC sometime and bring those for me to try...
