update.......I replaced the Ruger BCG and CH. I installed the Wilson Combat NP3 treated BCG and the Radian NP3 treated CH. Fired another 30 rounds. Everything ran perfect. No issues at all. Maybe it is my imagination, but the NP3 treated BCG seemed to function smoother. NP3 is slicker than factory finish and cleans much easier. That is a good thing since I am running a suppressor. That's 90 rounds with no failures. I'll install the Geissele trigger tomorrow and shoot some more. It seems more and more like the problem was a gas block issue.

It's starting to look like a keeper.

update.....I installed the Geissele trigger and the Ergo grip this morning. I fired another 30 rounds without any problems. No issues. That makes 120 rounds with no failures. The only thing left is to install the Magpul MAD lever. I don't see how it could cause any problems......?

This update will end my story on the Ruger AR556. I mounted the Magpul BAD lever last night. It is held onto the gun with one screw, so I let the blue Loctite cure over night before putting any strain on the lever. I fired only three rounds to ensure the last round hold open worked and released the bolt with the BAD lever. Everything functioned properly. Having a problem with a new gun is always a worrisome situation. I tip my hat to Ruger. I have heard about their exceptional customer service and I have been amazed at how quick they resolved my problem. The AR556 is a great gun and value out of the box. All of the mods I did to the gun fit perfectly. I have to recommend this gun to anyone looking for an AR pistol in .556.

Best 5 shot group. Hornady Varmint Express, 55gr, VMax, with red dot sight, no magnification.
10.5" barrel, with suppressor. I can't seem to get the group any tighter. I could mount a scope, but since this is the way I will be shooting it, I'll leave it alone....unless anyone can get me some better advice.
