Continuing saga of my replacement Guardian 32

Well, as of the last email from NAA eight days ago, they would have new guns completed by yesterday. I didn't hear a peep. Sent an email just after their lunch time. No answer. They've always answered the same day before.

I'll assume it's casting flaws again. They've had two bad batches of frame castings delay this production. Maybe it's time for NAA to invest in a casting foundry? Castings, springs, and grips are the only things not done in house.

I wonder if it's possible for NAA to get one back from a distributor? Davidson's has seven 32s in stock. They are where I got my first one.

Maybe this is why NAA only makes Guardians in the hundreds each year. This situation, 47 days and ticking, makes me think it takes two months to manufacture one........

Maybe they have a few hundred others in the same boat as you. In which case the squeaky wheel theory just may apply.

I know most of the ones they're trying to make are spoken for in distributor orders. I've sent fresh emails to the two people there that apply to my problem. I've posted the problem and updates on their forum, so it's out there for all the world to read.

I've considered that it's a vendor problem, but ultimately the buck stops at NAA. It's their responsibility to get quality materials and stay on schedule.

You're right Bcatter, it is the manufacturers fault and they made it your problem. Hope this issue is resolved to your liking.

Nice of you to visit !

I'm wondering if the vendor somehow now can't do a good casting, then what? Very unlikely, but......Why I asked if they can get one back from a distributor, for them to send me. I'm beginning to wonder if I even want one of the current problem batch, if it's ever ready to ship.

I've been patient and polite for six weeks, but I've run out. No more Mr. Nice Guy....

Sorry for your situation Bearcatter, it's never fun being on that end of the chain but it's even worse being on the other end! They can't ship what they don't have and they are on the receiving end of a lot of calls from very pissed off customers.

I got a fresh reply from the sales manager last night. Who else answers email on a Saturday ? She's checking with Davidson's Monday about my idea of getting one back from them to send to me. That would have to be a little embarassing for NAA.
