New Guardian should arrive Saturday

Engineer has written that they have been producing good ones for over a week, but he's waited for one really tight to specs to send me. Says it will go out today, so I should see it Saturday. I didn't realize, but that's a regular day for FedEx. UPS charges extra.

Apparently the casting vendor got their act together, and NAA's Guardian headache is over.

I've also learned that even with CNC machines, there is some variation from parts being identical. It's possible to have a gun where every part barely makes specs, or one where all the parts are virtually perfect. Most guns are therefore a mix. Probably explains some of the issues that fill every gun forum.

Post up some pics and go out and shoot it. Sounds like it is all working out.

It will look like their stock photo, except I've got stainless grip screws for mine, and I use flat mag bottoms.

Going out and shoot, I doubt for a while. Forecast 41 today and 26 tonight. I may have to cough up some green at an indoor range, and the two local ones leave a lot to be desired.

Took 61 days from first complaint to gun in hand.

I got it this afternoon, looks to be 99.9% match to my first one. I told them I think even the grip screw slots tighten to the same positions....

Anyhow, they got their issues solved, and I got well taken care of, if slow. I got another magazine for my trouble, so now I have two Guardians and eight mags. Each gun comes with two, I bought two, and got a free one entering their drawing. Another free one doesn't bother me at all......

All's well that ends well.

Is the new one for the right or left hand?

They're all right handed. It's an open top slide; but seems to want to eject to the left, over my head. I find most of the brass behind me....

The 380 version also has an open top slide, with higher sides, and has a large notch on the right side. Sort of a 3/4 ejection port.
