Good 'ol Tazewell County. Only read this link real quick but when both Resolutions passed there "the crowd cheered loudly in support of the decisions." Good 'ol Rebel spirit still exists. That map is good, but needs updating. We gained 6 more Counties/Towns just yesterday alone. With more voting today. |

I saw there are Militia's forming to turn back any attempts to enforce these unconstitutional attempts to disarm the people. Is there a recall procedure in VA? If so a petition should be started immediately, why wait. Start with the governor and the rapist LT Gov.

Not real sure on the legalities of it, but I did sign a petition recently against Northam. We are just hoping that this will be nothing more than the Liberals shooting themselves in the foot for the next elections, but we wouldn't mind a more drastic measure against them in the meantime. Problem with elections though, is we just had them. That's how all this got started when the Liberals won a slight majority in both the House and Senate last month. We are also stuck with Northam for 2 more years, unless we can make something stick. He should had just stepped down after the Blackface incident, along with his 2 buddies (Lt Gov and Attorney Gen). |

Most in Virginia would like it if the Northern Virginia area would become part of D.C.. It is just a suburb of The Swamp, nobody there thinks like the rest of the state; but their population often tips votes in their favor. Like the last one giving them a small lead over the Republicans.

My Son is watching closely and has plans to move any banned guns to his Uncle's farm in Iowa. An interesting aside, being he is an NRA instructor, the NRA has changed their certification criteria and they have to pass some more SD/Combat type drills, timed and drawing from concealment, sounds more like one of Massad Ayoob's MAG 20 or 40 classed. |

Kind of a PITA because we stay a night in VA down and back to FL. I would hope the legislature would listen to the people but then I realized they are typical foaming at the mouth democrats. Time to vote them out VA.

"As if Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s wholesale attack on law-abiding gun owners wasn’t enough, the disgraced public official and his Michael Bloomberg-bought allies in the General Assembly now want the state’s hard-working taxpayers to foot the bill for their unconstitutional schemes. The budget bill (HB30) includes an appropriation of a quarter million dollars to carry out a host of gun control measures that Northam and his anti-gun allies hope to enact." https://www.nraila.org/articles/2019...aign=ila_alert Looking at the Virginia State Seal, the governor should begin outlawing spears, and find a place to hide. Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning "thus always to tyrants". It suggests that bad outcomes will or should befall tyrants. Last edited by RidgeRunner; 12-23-2019 at 10:08 AM. |

Democrats in Virginia’s House of Delegates passed legislation Tuesday to ban suppressors, “high capacity” magazines, and “assault weapons.” The bill, HB 961, now moves to the Virginia Senate. |

The bill passed Tuesday, 51-48. That means four Dems voted no, as they have control of 55 seats in the House. One seat is empty, vacated by a Democrat who moved to the state Senate on Jan. 8, after winning the Nov. election. The vacancy gets filled by special election Feb. 24. Next the bill goes to the state Senate, where the Dems only have a two seat majority out of forty, including the newcomer. So there is still a chance. The Senate session ends March 5. God Bless Georgia and Senator Loeffler: Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) announced Wednesday that she had cosponsored three pro-Second Amendment bills as part of her campaign to defend Americans’ right to bear arms. During the Georgia senator’s first public speech, she announced that she cosponsored three separate Second Amendment bills, including: •S. 69, the Conceal Carry Reciprocity Act, which would enable law-abiding citizens to exercise their right to self-defense across the nation through national concealed carry reciprocity. •S. 817, the Hearing Protection Act, which would cut regulations on the purchase of hearing protection and make it easier to purchase firearm suppressors. •S. 1331, the Veterans Second Amendment Rights Restoration Act, which would protect law-abiding veterans who own firearms from having their right to bear arms unfairly infringed by the federal government without due process. Loeffler said in a statement that Republicans must fight back against the Democrats’ push to undermine Americans’ Second Amendment rights. Loeffler said: As a lifelong conservative, I know that the U.S. Constitution is not option, and our Second Amendment rights are not up for debate. That’s why I sign on to three common-sense bills that protect and expand the freedoms of gun-owners across America. We must stop the radical left from trying to undermine public safety and the rights of law-abiding gun owners. We can’t back down. Our right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.” |

Says she co-sponsored the three bills. Are the other sponsors more heavyweight, she's a junior Senator ? I can't imagine NY, NJ, and CA ever going for national carry, but they'd lose half their population if the other 47 went national. I never heard of hearing protection being regulated ? I'd like to see that Veteran's Act act expanded to everyone, spelled out precisely, to shoot down the Red Flag stupidity. |
