Billy's First Deer

It's small but so is he. Billy is 12 yr old. He went hunting with his dad and saw this little guy from his tree stand. He shot and got 'em. He was soooo excited and proud.

Billy is Anne Marie's son and my grandson... this info is because I know you care.

That is great. Tell him congragulations from us. I love seeing the next generation hunt and shoot. If we don't get enough of the next generation involved, a terrific part of what it means to be an American will fade away.

Re: Billy's First Deer

Thanks for sharing in his excitement you guys. I'm going to copy and paste onto an email and send to him. I told him I was going to post it here.

Meg is 9 yr old and Bill took her out with him scouting a place and setting up stands. She got to wear Billy's old cami's. Amber (15) has not seen one deer yet this year but her dad got 2 big ones. I don't know how Bill cooks the meat but boy is it good. Had some last visit to NC. He marinated and grilled it. Yummy! He makes great chili out of it too.

Rich and I thought it looked to be undersized, but what the heck... I'd visit him in hunter's jail.

I'm sure it looked like a 200 pounder when he was looking at it from the tree stand. Hey the first one is supposed to be small that way they don't get spoiled. What meat they do get will be good eating.

Re:

Congratulations!! That is really good. You know hunting trail cameras come handy if you actually are planning to go out hunting. The images obtained are of high-quality and this is the reason why these hunting trail cameras have become so popular.
