Duke is a good dog and a faithful friend. Gunrunner takes good care of him and is a faithful friend himself. They make a good pair.

When I don't feel good he sticks to me like glue and he has save my life 2 times by forcing me awake up when I quit breathing at night and in a trans . He keeps nosing me till I get up .

I understand how you feel about Duke. I've been lucky enough to have had some great dogs in my life. Miss them all. Love the ones we have, now, too.

[QUOTE=tx gun runner;154434]Duke has trying to catch this squirrel for a year . Well today was his day one dead squirrel .

My youngest dog caught one 2 summers ago & wished she hadn't.
The dog grabbed the squirrel by the back & broke it's back, but in a final act of defiance, the squirrel reached around & bit the dog on the nose, the dog screamed, dropped the squirrel & came running to me, sneezed & shot blood everywhere, including on me, through the hole in it's nose.

She still has the scars & still goes after the rats with a furry tail!

yes ........The last time I passed out was about 3 or 4 mo's ago . I was sit on the ground cleaning my MC rims and the next thing I remember waking up with Duke nosing me and licking my face till I tell him to stop . His breath smelled like he just cleaned his butt . I don't know how long I was out but I wake up very very slow .

Duke when he was about 1 yr old he killed a big possum and put him a the bottom of my bed to see when I woke up . He has a doggy door to go in and out of the house to fenced in back yard anytime he wish .

Better than not waking up at all.
