Two days before the middle segment of the NC duck season closed, I went out to go jumping ducks. I got to the boat ramp and the warden came along and told me about at least 300 ducks up a creek next to the approach area to one of the base runways and that they wanted me to go in there and chase the ducks out, as they are an aircraft hazard. So as I was going to duck jumping, I did. When I got to the mouth of the creek I saw that the number estimate was low and that there were too many ducks to count. I paddled in and had Ruddy ducks streaming out for a bit and when the first bunch of mixed ruddy and bluebills flew by I started shooting, reloaded and shot a couple more, 4 in total; then the main flock of bluebills took off, but, they did not waist anytime getting to altitude not presenting a shot. I thought the action would be over, so I left and just as I got to the main creek I looked back and saw ducks returning and landing. So I paddled back in there and while I was more ducks flew by me into the area. I took the first duck I could and caused a ringneck hen to fly out past me and shot that one as well. Except for the paddling part it was a quick hunt producing 6 ducks. I inventoried my ammo and discovered I had shot 7 times. |

Sounds like you had a fine day, and good shooting, 6 ducks with 7 rounds is hard to beat, we know what you'll be eating for a while now. ![]() |

At least the first one made us believe he was interested in air soft as a sport. I guess he sent the word out we're an easy mark. Of course, too, they could all be the same guy. We're pretty much trusting and gullible. ![]() |

Mike, try deleting cookies and temp. files. More likely you will need to get rid of malware. If you have spyware on your machine it may be watching for logins and passwords so don't ignore it. Do you keep backups? The safest course might be to re-install your operating system if you don't have drive imaging but you will lose everything if you don't have backups. What kind of security software are you using? Is it kept up to date? Malwarebytes used to have a free scanner for root kits. Be careful about some "free" scanners that are not from the big name security companies. I would be careful what you log into until you clear this up.
