I estimated her at 450# and she absorbed the shot, took off and never slowed down. I was in a ground blind shooting from a rest at less than 50 yards. I shot her in the lungs but suspect she was so huge it never made it to the vitals. I was alone and really enjoyed following up as darkness was falling. I swallowed hard and went into the brush after her but never found a blood trail and it was tracked up so I lost all sign. I searched until dark and gave up. Out of curiosity I went back next day and looked more and never found her. If I had gotten her I have no idea how I would have loaded her into the truck. Would have had to quarter her or something. Never got that far. I had a deer hoist I hooked to the 5th wheel hitch and loaded a 150#'er with it by pulling him up by the head, tying it off and then swinging the feet up and pushing him on. With her it would have been ok now what, duh.
