Model 76 45-75

I know, I am getting more here than I give. But, I try to contribute when I feel I know what I am talking about.
I have a chance to pick up a model 76, in 45-75. It is made by the same people who made my 45-60. This guy needs money and I offered him a fair price. Now does anyone here know that cartridge? I have read in my books by Mike V about it. But does anyone here have first hand knowledge? Thanks in advance. Gunn

The 45-75 brass is very expensive and hard to find . It is easy to make if you can find 348 Winc brass to make it . They split in the middle of the case easy and you don't get many reloads out of brass .

TGR: It comes with 300 rounds of new brass and dies. I have read a few things, but wanted first hand knowledge if possible. Things like is it a good hunting round. I have 4 bp cartridge guns, just trying to figure how this caliber fits in the scheme of things. Gunn

You'll have to scroll a ways down this page to find info on the .45-75 Sharps and .45-75 Winchester:

(This is an interesting article about the .45-75: http://tedsblogwin76.blogspot.com/)
