I like 30-30s, too. Shoot 30-30 in my Marlins and my TCs. Let us know how the Mossberg works out for you.

I am anxious to hear how you like it as well. .30-30 is one of my favorite cartridges. I handled one when they first were in the stores a few years ago. I liked the looks and feel of it but never had a chance to fire one.

If you don't mind me asking, which 1 did you get. I looked on Kentucy Gun Co. & saw a wood stock, synthetic stock & 1 with an Adj. military type stock. I also saw a marine coating model, like all-weather.

One of the recent developments with 30-30 factory ammo is a much improved selection and I think better quality, too, compared to the old days. Don't be afraid to try different ammo.

That's what I would have gone with also. It looks strange to me with the adjustable stock/lever action combo, but I would like to see it in person/handle it, I might change my mind. 30-30 is a very versatile round.

Heck, everything's been blooming here for a month or more! Of course, cold here is the low 40s, and that only happens when the sun ain't up, and then only for a month or two. It's 80 today.

Yahoo boys and girls

I'm in the middle of a blizzard with 300 tomato plants and 200 hot pepper plants
in my bed room and back room.
But that's the way it is up here in Canada on and Island same thing every year.
