My first post here, so hopefully this hasn't been posted too much... I have a few level action rifles and enjoy every one of them very much. I just got a Henry 45-70 brand new. Unboxed it, oiled it up, it and took it to the range. I was quite an amazing handy little thumper and very accurate at 50 yards (iron sites, standing off hand, no rests). The action was a bit rough as I expected for a new gun, however I don't think I will be putting enough rounds thru it to smooth it out naturally just plinking anytime soon. Still a bit sore from the 100 rounds of Horndy 325gr I put down range. Does anyone have any DIY tips to smooth at the action? |
