Plus one. Thanks for the report.

Hopefully you'll get it to do better than 2" at 100 yards. The 308 is a much better cartridge than that. Even the Marlin 30-30s I used to shoot could do better than 2". Keep us posted on this.

Yeah, suppressors and extended mags on a lever gun. What's the world coming to? Of course, a lot of old timers said the same thing about scoping lever guns, at one time. Oh, well. Sign of the times.

I'm not sure but I'm betting if I load on Sunday I'll run out on Tuesday.

Do you think I should get it in .223 or 308?

Hi 303. Love seeing you back with us.

Unless you hunt big game or plan to shoot way out past 200 yards, I see the 223 as being the most practical, by far. This goes double if you will be shooting factory ammo. WAY cheaper by the box than 308, not to mention less recoil and muzzle blast. I can easily shoot up 50 to 100 rounds of 223 in a session, but 308 is just too much for me on the shoulder for that many rounds. The 1 in 9 twist rate was a good move on Henry's part. Our 223 CZs have a 1 in 9 and shoot light bullets up to some of the 60 plus grainers, very well.

Nice of you to visit, 303. I don't care if you got a new gun or not, it's good to see you post........

Seriously, I'll look for your report. And I'd bet if you load on Sun-day, it doesn't last until Sun-set.....

That scope is on a CZ and not coming off. I will need to buy a new one.

Thanks. I'll need to buy more ammo for it as the Henry won't shoot 5.56 NATO.
