Finally got one…a Henry rifle!! It's a Henry in 22 caliber. Love it! Haven't shot it yet, but I'm thinking about a target in the back yard this afternoon… The wood on this rifle is beautiful. I've been told it is Missouri Walnut. ![]() This will be one that I won't ever part with (along with my HK). You could have all my other ones, but not those 2. Well, here he is, and I named him Sam. ![]() ![]() ![]() And, one inside… ![]() I only put a few rounds through a Sundrop can… ![]() But, it's doing well. Could possibly use some sight adjustments, but I'll wait till I can actually get a target up at known distance... |

Haven't taken the Henry plunge, yet, but I do understand about a nice piece of walnut on a gun. Makes it real hard for me to sell off a gun and that's saying something for me. ![]() We look forward to your range report. Congrats. |

Thanks. Always have wanted a Henry and this one just happened to "appear" at my house this past Friday. Wouldn't trade it or my HK for a Golden Mule. ![]() |

From Wikipedia: " The original Henry rifle was a sixteen shot .44 caliber rimfire, lever-action, breech-loading rifle patented by Benjamin Tyler Henry in 1860 after three years of design work. The Henry was an improved version of the earlier Volition Repeating Rifle." So Ben or Benny would be a good name for a Henry? |

Congratulations......and it is pretty wood. I have handle only one Henry belonging to a friend of mine and I was very impressed with the smooth action. Tell us more as you and Sam become friends. Henry is in a great position to push Marlin to the side..... |
