I think it and the other big bore Model 94 XTR cartridges were neat ideas, but given how rare it is to find one of those Model 94s, have never had an opportunity to try one. Would love to hear your experience with the cartridge if you've tried it.

I have these four rifles but have yet to use one on anything. I'm pretty sure they are most capable though. Just wondered what your experiences were.

The 307 and 356 winc cartridge are SUPER cartridges in a lever action . They match a 308 and 358 winc cartridges in bolt guns . It is a shame they never caught on . The brass is getting hard to find the wildcatter love it and buy it up . Winc put 307 & 356 in XTR high dollar guns and many shooter couldn't afford them or didn't want to spent that much on saddle or brush gun . A scope is right at home on XTR rifles and look good and make a good shooter for long ranges too . They are great guns

I agree, a shame. Too bad those cartridges never caught on, but, then, a lot of excellent cartridges have experienced the same fate, for one reason or another.

Well, I don't have anything to add about the cartridge. But I will say, they are very nice looking lever rifles.
