Its Italian, not a Pedersoli, I would hazard about a midlevel beginner's type Sharps.
The set trigger is beyond a hair trigger once its set, I mean to say its sensitive is greatly understating it.
A buddy of mine already wants me to upgrade from the stock sights to a Leatherwood 6X Malcolm, but we shall see.
Hope you enjoy the pictures

What is the caliber and guessing it requires black powder loads?? I started to say that is sharp looking so will say that is a fine looking rifle instead. Congrats.

Same year as Quigley's Sharps in Quigley Down Under. His was .45-110 caliber. One movie I can watch over, a couple of times a year.

Its 45-70, it can fire black powder equivalent loads, Cowboy type and such, and from what research I've done, the new actions are stronger than the originals, but if I want to shoot the modern stuff, I have my Marlin 1895CB.........

Post up a report when you shoot it. Be interesting to hear how far out it'll reach and still put them where you want them to go.
