Hello everyone, new to the forum. Look forward to learning a lot from this group. I recently acquired a Browning 92 .44mag in decent condition. I took it to the range yesterday and it functioned fine. Really like the gun. However about 20 rounds deep the forearm slipped forward on the barrel. I didn't look closely at that time but when I got home I realized the forearm band pin (Browning #P072146) was missing. I spent several hours last night trying to find the pin to no avail. Looking at the owners manual it appears this is a straight pin that I assume is mushroomed on each end to hold it in place. The barrel and the magazine tube both have notches cut in them to allow the pin to pass through and keep the forearm from sliding forward. The holes in the barrel band do not appear to be threaded, though my eyes are not so good. First does anyone know where I might find this pin, second if not can I find a pin of correct diameter, install and mushroom the ends?
thanks in advance for you help.
