A beautiful mid-morning range trip with the CZ 75 & the Charger, 2 totally different pistols. First up, the CZ. I have made several range trips since my original post & this pistol has just gotten better with use & my gain in familiarity with it. I enjoy the Hogue grip for range use, but the pistol looks better with the original shape of the stock grips. The HiViz fiber optic site is great. The real quality of this pistol shines at the range. After 600 rounds, the function & accuracy of this pistol are flawless. It is truly a pleasure to shoot. I am still trying out different sight pictures, but a 6 O'clock hold is needed. I normally shoot from 7 yards with my handguns, but stretched it out to 15 on this trip & the CZ does not care. The last 2 range trips were my reloads, which use CFE Pistol & a Berry's 124 grain RN plated bullet ![]() Last edited by moakes58; 06-18-2016 at 09:59 AM. |

Next up was the Charger. I was using Remington Golden Bullets & you know how .22LR is, meaning they are all a little different as far as point of impact. That's were the Nikon 4X with its return to zero turrets really shine . After a few clicks, I was back on target & and the accuracy of this little gem really shines. The target on the right & the bottom 1" orange dot are after adjustment. The Charger even shoots the bulk stuff very nicely. 100 rounds through it with no problems at all. ![]() ![]() Last edited by moakes58; 06-18-2016 at 07:55 PM. |

Looks like you had a fun day. Congrats on some nice shooting. I like the HIViz on the CZ, it surely makes for easier sighting.

I was always just a hit the 9" paper plate type of shooter, but since joining this forum, I have come to appreciate tighter groups. I still like to play, like trying to shoot the 4 corners of the paper, or with my wife, we try to hit each others last shot. Last edited by moakes58; 06-18-2016 at 02:14 PM.

Moakes, what a fine report! Thank-you. Oh, my, now that I am a 9mm shooter, not to mention a CZ fan, that CZ 75 is right at the top of my list. Great shooting. I also love those ugly Hogue finger groove grips on my 1911s. They really do help with the shooting. As for the Charger, what can I say? You and I both know them for the sweet shooters they are. Very nice group, too. |

Moakes ... Congrats on some fine shooting and a great day at the range. I agree that while the Hogue grips aren't pretty, they do indeed feel great in the hand and I believe enhance my accuracy. My 75b has sported them for 7 years now ![]() Last edited by BuckJM53; 06-18-2016 at 12:15 PM. |

Thanks for sharing your range fun with us. And also for lighting that fire burning for the "damn I need one of each of those guns". ![]() |

Great report. Seems I have "missed" a few range reports here. I'm heading back to the range today to shoot my new Sears rifle. I need to take something else just in case I have problems with the Sears rifle. Maybe I should take my Charger?

Good choice, 303. Haven't seen you do a report on that one in a very long time.

My Charger just impresses me with it's accuracy. It is completely stock. I have not even touched the trigger & it's a shooter. I must have gotten lucky, as I see so many threads on the 10/22 & them needing barrels, triggers & this & that.

Moakes, the trigger on my new Charger is actually very good, too. Same with the accuracy. Not sure if we both just got lucky or if Ruger is making this way, now. Went down that mod everything on the gun road with my original Charger and don't want to do that, again. Plan to leave mine, as is.

You're right, 303. That may well be the improved 1022 trigger.
