Love those Old Models, Rich. Something to be said for the safety of the New Models, but still enjoy working the action on those Old Models.

You know, the irony of it all with the SA's usefulness for point shooting, is that I think I shoot them better for target work, when equipped with good sights, than I do most double action revolvers. Conventional wisdom I get from years of preaching from experts is that DA revolvers and, of course, semi-autos are better suited for accuracy work, but it just ain't so for this cowgirl. Really can't say why. Just the way it is for me and single actions.

I love my Cimarron " P jr's" they a 7/8 size Colt and shoot 38 colts or 38 special [ not 357 ] . Perfect for shooter with small hands . The target below is the 1st time these guns were shot on paper . There is 70 rounds total on both target and shot with one gun in each hand and shot 10 rds under 15 seconds .

Amazing shooting, as always, TGR. I think you would have been right at home in the frontier days if you could go back in time, but, hey, no Glock.

Hey, forgot to thank-you for this link. Almost wish I hadn't watched, though. Anyway, speaking of fixed sight Vaqueros, Lipsey's is offering a Single Six with fixed Vaquero sights, so ...

Also some other great single actions. Uh, oh.

Can you imagine Jeff with a shave or at least a good trim beard; a haircut, and a decent shirt? And what is he constantly chomping? Gum or tobacco?

Folks, I have to say this and I hope he does not mind, but when it comes to Gunrunner you have only seen the tip of the iceberg, Get him to show you his Schuetzen Rifle targets and rifles, or some of the other match winning guns he has built himself or even designed. I am a retired machinist and I have worked in toolmaking shops doing high precision work, though I am not a tool maker, but he has amazed me with some of his work. I hope he will share some of it as I think it would be appreciated here.

One of my favorite parts of that gun is the location of the flash hole in the chamber. It's like a Cosworth muzzleloader. It still amazes me.

Feel free to use my design . The hammer fall or travel is only 3/4" and the nipple is in the middle of the charge so it burns both direction from the middle to front & rear . The nipple is in against powder charge so there is less that 1/4" of flame travel . So the lock time is super fast with this design . Faster lock time then a 1911 Colt .
