Or for $600 I could get this much prettier one.
I don't think I could beat $600 for a new one, and it's not even on sale. $799 - $50 coupon I have -20% effective discount using gift cards. If they'd throw a $50 off sale price on it, I'd jump at it. That $50 off coupon expires 7/16, and it's burning a hole in my pocket.

The Classic series guns are very nicely finished, for sure. Actions are still not up to PC levels, but they are decent and will smooth up a bit. Still, the ones I've examined in stores can vary quite a bit as to trigger quality, whereas a PC version is always a guarantee of a trigger job. Those weights on the Comp will definitely help when it comes to shooting groups. Also has a much nicer rear sight than the standard S&W. Pretty impressive package.
