Another good but so-so trip
Well, I made it to the range August 5, and now today. Did the reverse today, shot a Bearcat and had the .22 SP as backup, but didn't shoot it. I find I like having only one gun to clean, and the Bearcat is much easier than an SP.
Two and a half hours, 200 rounds of Auto Match. No ammo problems. Several target problems. My spinning rubber prairie dog turned to an angle twice, and one time I hit it where the wire goes through and jammed it.
Shot okay, the head is only about an inch and a half either way. If you hit lower, it just wiggles, and I was about 80% good spins.
Still kind of boring though. I've decided maybe I need a new target to make it interesting again. I've been using those rubber spinners for years.

Sounds like you need more of a challenge. Get yourself a full auto and let us know how it goes. I wish I could be there with you.

An M-14A2. I only qualified marksman with that one. It was fun when we did squad on a line to dump a 20 round mag. It didn't take long but was a hoot while it lasted. You could hit a bull in the posterior it climbed so much.
