Almost didn't go to the range because it's supposed to rain for around 60 straight hours here. It wasn't supposed to start til 11:00, so I planned to go early and be gone by 10:00. When I saw how dark the sky was this morning, I almost blew it off. But I checked the weather again, and they said 5% chance of rain at 10:00 and 30% chance at 11:00. Got there right after the 8:00 opening and it was the best conditions I've seen all year. The range has Southern exposure and when the sun gets lower this time of year, it's right in your face starting about 10:00. Just enough solid gray clouds this morning, and no wind at all. I shot the Range Officer .45, and according to my log I passed the 5000 round mark with it. I've gone about 4850 of those without a single malfunction, after a few break in FTL's. The best I shot was this 25 yd 5 shot group. 1 3/8"--can't complain about that. I do love that gun. More rounds through that than my 3 other .45's combined. Then shot a quick 50 rd of .22, and then 45 rd of 44 mag with the 629-6. They called cease fire before I could finish the box, so I split after that. Had several OK groups, nothing great. This one was 2 1/4" but all high. Yes, it has rained steadily since just after 11:00. Glad I got out though, because it's been about 3 weeks. |

You should be happy, you'll get your whole year's rain out of the way in one setting! Great shooting by the way! |

Great shooting, as always, Shakey. We've owned several ROs and still have one in 9mm. All have been accurate and dependable, too. What dovetail base did you use o your RO to mount that Burris Fast Fire? Been thinking of adding a red dot to one of ours. |

It fits really solid--feels like part of the gun when you get it mounted. I think mine would have stayed in place even without the set screw. (but I used the set screw and blue Loctite) Last edited by Shakyshoot; 11-20-2019 at 09:57 AM. | |
