Powder Recall

Could a cartridge with this powder in it really ignite by itself???

probably not by itself, but If a powder is breaking down/unstable, it could be like the old westerns with old unstable dynamite & nitro glycerin. Boom.

Smokeless powder that has deteriorated can be very unstable. Before they learned the need to eliminate impurities in manufacturing whole storage facilities and more than one ship just disappeared in a flash at different times. Very unpredictable stuff.
