Which MEC reloader?

I've got a Mec 600 Jr Mark 5 that I've been reloading 12 ga with my oldest son. It works great, and I don't mind the single stage at all. I've also got a Grabber in 12 ga that I bought used, appears to be in excellent shape, but have yet to try it out.

I'm wanting to reload 20 ga and want to buy a new loader. I considered just getting another Mec 600 jr Mark 5 (I have one of the pre 82 models, but it collapses my shells on the final crimp and I can't for the life of me figure out how it would ever adjust to prevent this, it was given to me and I'd just as soon move on from it).

I am also considering the Size Master single stage. Is it worth the increase in price of the 600 Jr with it's resizer built in and the auto primer feeder?

I'd like some thoughts/input on the 20 ga reloader and also maybe some advice on using the Grabber. Since it moves the charge bar with each throw, what do I do when initially starting a session to keep from dumping powder and shot where there are no hulls?

If your not in rush the MEC Size Master will make the best ammo . I've loaded for 2 auto feeders , 2 pumps and 6 side by side shotguns for around 20 yrs with no problems .

Thanks for your input. Nope, not in a hurry. I was messing around with my grabber and while it turns out a fine shell, it's a little more difficult to operate than my mark 5. I noticed the primer didn't always drop correctly, sometimes bouncing out of its slot upon dropping. I'm sure with more time it'll be fine, but I sure appreciated the simplicity of the single stage.

I notice you don't have the auto prime installed, did they not come with them when you bought, or are they just to finicky for your liking?

I don't care for any automatic crap . Mine auto primer has never had a primer in it . I'm going to sell my MEC and I have a ton of goody's for it . Like shot , primers , AA hulls , charge bars and powder measures . I will not ship only a FTOF .
