tonyjr welcome from Missouri!

You kind of stumbled on an old thread.

I would get your reloading data from a reputable reloading manual that's updated regularly.

I would not use data online that is inputed by different users.

I use Hodgdons powders mainly & they have an excellent online reloading data center.
They also put out a annual reloading manual for about $8 that has great articles.

Alliant has online data also & will send you a nice manual for free if you request it on their website. I use their Unique powder as a backup because it will do about anything.

Plus one. The only online data I would trust is direct from a manufacturer's website or from someone I know I can trust, such as members I know, here.

+1 on trusted data.
I have been reloading for a long time and only use data I trust.
So far only bangs no booms.

I just came back here [ site ] I will check for a notify me when someone posts
I judge a site / reloading data by my notes / reloading books .
While bullet speed is important - I rarely be look at it .
I am more interested in bullet weight and case .
I only use H 110 , HS 6 [ HS 6 is being replaced by CFE pistol by me ] and CCI primers .
I use jacketed only bullets - no lead, plated or coated . Years ago - to many problems with non jacketed bullets in the 50 AE and 357 .
So I just use jacketed in everything from the 22 lr to the 50 .
Jacketed bullets are easier to reload then wad cutters , plated or coated .
I will get maybe 1 in 300 reloads - a split case , 1 in 500 a buckled case . Maybe with lead they would not split / buckle .
Right now I use mainly Speer reloading manual as a back up to Hodgdon , but like the older Hodgdon and Sierra 3 ring binders better . I either cut up or scan / print pages from powder pamphlets and put in binders .
Anyone care - there are 3 pamphlets for hodgdon right now [ a couple of weeks ago ] CFE pistol , CFE rifle and CFE 223 . There is also a 2016 pamphlet / magazine out - has not come yet . Maybe mailman is reading it .
Maybe someone reading this has a better idea for storing Lee case length gauges [ the rods ] , I have the shell holder cases , but have not found a good way to store rods . It would be nice to have a box / case that would hold the little ball , cutter and rods . I reload - 25 ACP , 380 ACP , 45 ACP 38s , 9 mm , 357 , 10 mm , 44 mag and 50 AE . Plus 6 or seven rifles .

tonyjr, could you please explain what you mean about "pamphlets for Hodgdon" I have not seen these yet.

I currently reload .380 & .45 acp, as well as 9mm. In rifle, only .223 Rem.

I get the Hodgdon Annual Reloading Manual every year, it has some great articles in it that help me out.

Hodgdon has CFE Pistol, which I have used for everything in pistol calibers & love it. I use TiteGroup also & have Alliant's Unique for my backup powder because you really can do about anything with it.
In .223 Rem, its CFE 223 & BLC(2). I am not sure about CFE rifle, I have not heard of that one.

Except for Hornady's XTP bullet I use for self defense pistol loads, all I use is plated, either Berry's or Xtreme for my range loads & they do everything I need.

The pamphlets for Hodgdon are from 30 to 40 pages . Sierra , Speer , Barnes , Lee and Nosier [ probably someone I am forgetting ] are all hard bound books over 200 pages . [ I have the older Hodgdon and Sierra 3 ring binders ]
I just checked and maybe blew it .
I have the CFE pistol and CFE 223 RIFLE pamphlets . They sell them on web , but I generally am given one at gun shows with purchase - latest was the 2014 . [ 2-3 weeks ago in S F @ cow place ]
I have bad knees [ both replaced ] and have a very hard time @ rifle range and I am not even going to try hunting the hills . So my rifles have turned into loaners .
Pistols are another matter . I have a handy capped placard and can park generally in front and if not , whoever is with me drops me off and I register us .
We shoot from the 22 lr to the 50 AE . My wife like the Beretta [ I have the one that flips open so you don't have to rack it . ] and the colt 25 ACP , If nephews bring girl friends , the 380 will get fired , other wise , it's the 9 , 357 , 44 , 45 and fifty AE . Then , it is clean the guns time .
Some time in the week we start reloading . Just me and one other person . You load what you shoot .
I have 4 nephews and 2 nieces that like to shoot , so 2 sometimes 3 times a month I / they shoot .
Everyone reloads here - they would rather buy another gun than reloading setup .
If the wife wants to cook - fine otherwise reloading night is pizza night - sometimes twice a week .

I've cast bullet and made custom ammo since 1968 . I use all information I find in books and internet as a guild and not Gospel . I normally have 3 different loads for each gun . Stage 1 is for pinging around 750 fps , Stage 2 in for serous target work and defense loads normally under 1100 fps and Stage 3 is for hunting normally at around max fps . Most of my long gun are near max since they are long range or hunting stuff .

Most of my casting experience was years ago . While I live in California , I have a house and a farm [ ranch 10 acres ? ] with house in Mexico . 30 years ago it was very hard to get ammo for 45 and 38s . I was making cast bullets for them . People being robed on highway .
The 1st time we flew . next 2 times we drove - both guns and Lee hand loaders , pound of powder , a brick of primers . The 4th year things started getting bad , gas prices went up . Time went from 5 days there and 5 back to 1 day there and one back .
Anyway - last 30 years we have flown and I was casting bullets till maybe 25 years ago . The 38s is a revolver - so O K with cast . The 45 was good for maybe a clip , then started jamming mis feeding . Both had the bullets falling apart after about 20-25 feet .
I found a taxi driver that took and brought people / relatives to and from Texas , so buying bullets became easier .
I tried cast in the 50 [ maybe 20-25 years ago ] gun started jamming after 2 magazines - I was given a box of what I considered wad cutters when I bought gun .
Anyway , I won't even shoot lead in 22 lr - everything is jacketed . Lead is easier to clean from barrels than copper but lead is harder to remove from autos .
