It is a Cimarron Pinkerton I think Chappa make it for Cimarron . I don't see it Uberti catolog anymore . .

Welcome from the Texas Panhandle. Those carbines are pretty hard to come by.

Welcome to the forum, Falconer. Is your Marlin an actual 39 Carbine model, stamped as such on the barrel? We have one, too. Those are quite rare, only made for a few years in the mid 60s and quite a collector piece if you are a Marlin collector.

The Woodsman is a classic, classic pistol, but it is a Colt and you will be paying a premium for that name, alone. Parts, magazines and such will be very pricey, too and some parts will be very difficult to impossible to get, should you ever need them. As a lover of fine autoloading pistols, I'd love to have a Woodsman and I may yet add one to the collection, but, to be honest, going with a Ruger Mark, even an old Mark, is still going to be more practical and definitely more affordable.

I'm new here so your post is also new to me. My wife has a Colt Match Target Woodsman 3rd gen from 1972 that I picked up in a trade back in the mid 90's. A straight up trade for a Ruger Bull Barrel. I shot Bullseye competition back then and she got interested in shooting 22's..wish that I had my S&W Model 41. She does let me shoot it now and then. Rich
