That one has been on my "to buy" list for a long time, but might have to get the lead out, so to speak. Really is the world's most accurate BB gun.

If you don't have a lot of room in your house for a range, this is a great option. BB gun competition is at a distance of 5 meters (16 feet, 4 inches) and the 10 ring in the target is smaller than one .177 pellet in size. Nothing easy about it.

TGR, what kind of backstop are you using with those steel BBs?

This is not rated for BB but it work OK for me . If you look at my pic you will see the Gamo target with paper 10 meter target Elmer glue to it . I can use the Gamo target over 6X that way . A few BB with come back but without force . You can hang a rag inside target trap will stop it .

I used the chair trick in shooting that target . It was not offhand

That's for the info on the steel bb's. Your pictures in the thread are tops. You did a great job photographing everything and putting the picture report together.

+1

We sometimes get so focused on your great shooting, TGR, that we forget to compliment you on your great photography.

As far as using the chair trick instead of shooting offhand, we understand. I think I can speak for everyone, here, that we are delighted that you found a way to keep shooting.

How's the trigger on that Daisy?

My X-wife has a list of my gun and value . The pic and information also helps my X wife in selling my guns when the time comes . My luck I will out live her . I send her a copy of these pics for her to store in her computer .

I will be shooting it offhand is why I got it . I used the chair trick the 1st day to test the accuracy of the gun and if it will shoot 10 meters . The trigger is very good and no work is needed . I don't like 2 stage triggers and I will do away with it one day and lighten it a little

My 499 BB gun at 10 meters shoots just as good as my 953 pellet gun indoors at 10 meters . The 499 is more forgiving if you screw up because of the short barrel time . . The round BB's suck for hole punching but the don't make wad cutter BB's ... .

Not surprised. The 499 has a great rep for accuracy.
