Another one of my C&R acquisitions. The Tokarev is of Russian design and was utilized by quite a few countries. I've owned a few..Polish, Russian, Romanian and the Yugo which is my favorite because it's safety is like the 1911. When the Tokarevs were imported a safety was required and was stuck on the left side of the frame. I never cared for that piece of metal hanging on the side of the pistol. I was lucky to have stocked up on ammo when it was cheap but corrosive..getting a little hard to find now and factory ammo is not cheap. The 7.62x25 is a zippy bottleneck round that the Russians have used forever. I believe the Yugo is the only one that will not accept mags that will interchange with the others. It will only accept Yugo mags. Here's my Yugo Model 57. Rich YUGO TOKAREV MODEL 57 |

That is a super gun and you can find ammo at a lot places . I get the guns and ammo from J&G in Arz .... Most of the Tokarev will chamber and shoot the 30 Mauser / 7.63x25 ammo also . The early stuff hit 2000 fps and would go thur Bullet Proof vest ..... http://www.jgsales.com/7.62x25-tokar...n.-p-1529.html |

My local Gander Mtn. used to get these in a dozen or two at a time. I think most were Romanian or Polish. You got two mags and an issue holster for $299. Not sure if they still do it, I haven't been in the place for over a year.
