Shield 9mm...thoughts anyone pro/con?

Seeing great price point for this gun. Have put 200 rounds through it at my range and really like it. Any issues, especially with it being a bit smaller that other 9mm? Would appreciate any comments.

Don't have any 9MM . Guns are like potato chips and women . Man can't live with only 1 .. The Glock 23C is my favorite gun to carry and shoot . So buy another gun

I've been carrying one every day for almost 3 years. I can shoot it more accurately than some bigger guns I have, and it's gone close to 3000 rounds without a malfunction of any kind. I was happy to get mine at $369. With the after rebate prices nearing $200 it's a no-brainer. I also bought the 45 ACP a few months ago, and that's been just as good.

My wife caries the 9mm Shield and loves it, so do I. She has 8 round mags which adds a little to the grip length and makes it very comfortable for both of us. The Shield replaced her PT709Slim, the same size but very different in feel. I added mag extensions to the Taurus which helps but just not the same. We have about 3000 rounds through the Shield and as I said we both love it.

That being said, I still carry my P320 Sig! She won't let me touch hers except for practice! I do alternate with my M&P 9 (more capacity) or my P226 40S&W (more power) when in the field.

I have both the 9mm and the .45 and I also have huge hands. Even though the two guns are very close in size, the .45 is just enough bigger and the grip is more grippier that I prefer shooting the .45 over the 9mm. They both shoot pretty well for being such small guns, I have no complaints.

Check out the Sig P290RS. It is a 16 oz DAO pistol in 9MM and can be bought NIB for $ 400.

People seem to luv the Shields, they're just not my thing I guess. The grips & triggers are just wrong for me.

Well, I gave my niece my 9mm Shield last night. Only had a hundred rounds through it, but, it was just too small for my hands. I did however keep my .45 Shield. It feels just big enough for me. She had been shooting with some girls she works with at the hospital and telling me and my wife about this gun called a shield that she rents when she goes to the range and how she really loves the 9mm, and I thought well heck between my wife and I we have 2 of those plus the .45 so it was my nieces lucky day. She went home with a practically new Shield and 150 rounds. She lives alone with her fourteen year old daughter in a not so great part of town, I figured she could use the protection. She didn't argue with the offer.
