I join any forum, because I am interested in the subject matter. If my first post can be helpful to others, I see nothing wrong with posting it. I get nothing from a youtube channel. If you feel a link to a gun related video is offensive, then remove it, I am fine with that.

That be so, we've had more than a few new members who joined just to post links to their videos, their favorite products, etc.. Just free advertising, no real info, nothing about their shooting or guns. Why not do a post in the New Users section? Tell us a little about yourself, what you shoot, your favorite gun(s), whatever. I see you're not in the best state for gun enthusiasts, ouch. Welcome from Virginia.... ![]() |

It always amazes me that, given the length of time guns have been made almost the same way, that major manufacturers will accept a safety that doesn't click on and click off. On a .22 it probably won't result in your death, but it's going to be a pain if you're shooting a bullseye rapid fire string. I only shot a Victory once, and I didn't notice it. Can't recall if I even operated the safety.

I love Remington 700's. However, I have one that has a safety built by a brick mason who followed the CAT5 hurricane structure. It is not meant to move. It is almost impossible to move the gun from safe to fire. I would send it back, but just can't bring myself to deal with the annoyance of shipping. It is a tack driving deer rifle in .308....one of my favorite rifles. |
