Its a used Eotech. Its a bringback from Iraq. This entire rifle has top grade parts on it. Its not a cheap knockoff AR plinker.

I was wondering why you had a Eotech that cost more than the gun a used one would explaint it, been wanting a Eotech for my AR, have to be careful now days you don't get sold a cheap China knock off when you buy one.

Its not extremely accurate being a red dot but I can get on target very fast. It makes a great gopher gun. I used it one in competition where we had to engage three steel targets at ten yards. I don't normally shoot action but I was beating everyone else. I was the only 22LR against .223's. And it was the only red dot and I think that was the deciding factor. This was just a bunch of us guys at the range. My friend is the rangemaster in Montana.

The gun cost more than a new Eotech. This isn't a cheap setup. The Eotech was purchased for $100 used. It is what is called "found on base" meaning that they have *no record of who it was issued to. They could put it back into service but the expense to make sure it was still within spec would be more than what it was worth. My friend does small arms repair and it was turned in to him. The Army did the paperwork to not accept it and he was given it to dispose of. It was up to his captain as to what to do with it. Some captains say to destroy them but his told him he could keep it.

The sad part is *items like this that are "found on base" in Iraq usually means that it was from a fallen soldier. When I shoot it I give it the respect it deserves.

I've see the 22 AR's for under $500 even the Colt not counting all your add on's I would love to pick up a Eotech for $100 but not sure I could use one from a fallen soldier that would be a downer for me, I didn't know Eotech's were issue? thought they were purchased by a soldier that wanted more than iron sights?

You might be right about them purchasing the Eotechs. Those Colt rifles are nothing like this rifle. I don't think they are even real Colts but just have the Colt name on them. I have the AR22 M4:

Correct.....kind of.....the upper will not shoot .223 or 5.56. But its a high quality upper. I've held the Colt 22 rifle and it feels like junk compared to this one.
