Spikes/Brownells Retro Colt Carbine

Last years tax return, more or less.

Upper is one of the Brownells retro carbine style throw backs, 15.5 inch barrel, pinned and welded three prong flash hider, 1in 12 twist. Lower is a Spikes Tactical with a used M16A1 pistol grip, a Brownells A1 stock setup, a Sarco jungle sling adapter, and a Vietnam era nylon sling.
Thing shoots like a house on fire, 55 grain M193 drills knitting needle like holes into clusters tighter than you would believe, seems to favor PPU M193 so far

Looks good; I just can't get into the AR thing. They seem to be like 10/22s, nobody has one that hasn't been modded. Except me.

My brother has a H&K 91 in .308 that he enjoys.

Yeah, mine's modded.

That one looks like it would be hard to mod. A new upper really makes it a new gun. Else there's no way to put a pic rail on it.

Unless I add the Brownells retro 4 power scope to the carry handle, there are no mods, on a retro rifle, there's very little chance there will be a Picatinny rail
